Product Description
The Dirt Devil KURV vacuum has a simple, elegant shape that you can proudly display in any room. As the latest design from Karim Rashid, the KURV is a rechargeable, cordless hand held vacuum cleaner with convenience in mind. Use the KURV for daily upkeep and for crumbs and dust and spills that happen frequently. KURV the way you think about vacuuming. Always Charged, Always Ready.Amazon.com Review
With its sinuous curves and elegant keyhole-shaped vents, Dirt Devil’s Kurv looks more like a space-age vase than a household cleaning product. And while it picks up crumbs, dust, and spills just as well as your averagely ugly cordless handheld vacuum, the machine’s aesthetics are its major drawing card. Created by renowned industrial designer Karim Rashid, the Kurv is stylish enough to leave out on the counter or coffee table, where it’s more likely to come into play sooner–before the Cheerios are ground into the Karastan, in other words, or just as the last-minute guests are due to arrive. The cordless design plugs into a charging base for storage, so the unit is always ready to go, and the dirt cup simply twists off to empty, sparing users the hassle and expense of disposable bags. Weighing in at just two pounds, the Kurv also features a replaceable filter and a soft tip, to protect delicate surfaces like hardwood floors or antique furniture. It comes backed by a limited three-year warranty. –Mary Park

I love it! So a hand VAC doesn’t have to look like one.

I think people need to read the instructions before using the product. In the section about “CHARGING” the VAC, it has this to say in uppercase letters:

“IMPORTANT: BEFORE FIRST USE, CHARGE YOUR UNIT FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS.”

This vac is a absolute piece of garbage. It’s weak. Very weak. And I’m not sure if I got a lemon but mine holds a charge for about 2 minutes and I bought it brand new. Do NOT buy this vac. I never submit reviews but I had to this time, that is how bad this vac is. I would give it neg stars if it were a option on Amazon.

I got this little wonder as a gift last Christmas and love it! This stylish vacuum lives easily on my side table; I love the curvy lines that help disguise the function of this piece. I find the suction is adequate for my needs, but I’m picking up stray crumbs rather than balls of pet hair which makes a difference. I’ve had no problems with this vacuum holding a charge, and it definitely out-performs dust-busters I’ve had in the past. This vacuum has a great addition to my cleaning arsenal and saves me the hassle of wrestling out the full-sized vacuum for smaller messes. High recommended!

  4. There is very little suction power. It has a difficult time staying charged and sucking up most anything beyond fluffy fur balls. But, when it tries to suck up the fluffy fur balls it blows them away.

I love that this vacuum is nice enough to leave out. I use it much more than the one that was stowed in the closet before.

It’s not the greatest vacuum power – and as other people say, does tend to blow stuff around – but it works. And gets used more often because it’s in reach.
