Product Description
This comes with floor tool, duster tool, crevice tool, and upholstry tool! It also comes with the inflator tool, squeegee tool, and an aero bag. This will come exactly as pictured. This one looks like it has hardly been used at all. In like new condition. In fact this was a demo model and looks almost new. This will come with a 5 year motor warranty through our shop. Nice E2 rainbow. This is the new model of E2 the 2 speed one with the brushless motor. One speed for air filtering and another speed for vacuuming. Powerful suction motor. This is the newer model that has the trigger on the hose. The hose has a pistol grip area where you put your hand when you are vacuuming. To make the vacuum brush roll turn you just hold down the trigger. This is a great feature and is very easy to do. This makes it very easy to go from carpet to hardwood (all you have to do is let go of the switch and your brush roll stops). Its also a great safety feature and will allow you to not accidentally burn up your carpet.

My mother and aunt each bought a Rainbow vacuum from a commissioned salesman and then we were unable to use it for its serious design flaws. First, you have to carry a heavy pan of water the Rainbow uses to filter the dirt. This is very inconvenient and sloppy. After vacuuming you have to carry the dirty water out of the house to dispose of. The suction is the least of any vacuum I have ever used. When I used the hose I found the Rainbow would not pick up lint. We bought a Dyson and after first vacuuming with the Rainbow the Dyson picked up so much fuzz and dirt the Rainbow left behind it was shocking.

The Rainbow vacuum company operates a racket preying on the elderly who think that paying a lot of money gets them a superior vacuum. Wish attorney generals in all the states would investigate Rainbow’s selling practices.

  2. Getting this was a mistake from day one. I have lots of dogs and live out in the country so I have to vacuum a lot. I find that I am so sick of emptying the water tank and cleaning the thing out twice a day that I hardly ever vacuum. Then When I do I have to empty it 6 times to clean my whole house.

In the winter I have to dump it down the toilet or I have to bundle up to dump it outside in the snowstorm. It makes my toilet need a lot more cleaning and then I get the bathtub dirty when I try to clean the scum off the sides of it. So every time I vacuum I also have to clean the bathroom.

Other people can’t seem to use it without training. My house sitters and house cleaners that I have from time to time don’t like it at all, have left water in it to rot, and usually bring there own now.

The company did not fallow through an any promises either. I was supposed to get a free shampooer, hard floor cleaner, and something else (Value $400) for giving them 6 friends names. They never called my friends, will not return my phone calls, and verily answer the e-mails.

    Other problems:

-The loudest vacuum I have ever had

-The suction is good but not that good

    -Poor job on hard floors

-Attachments fall off the attachment holder and get lost

    -It is very heavy

-He said it would go up stairs unless they are very narrow, but it will not without a mess

-Spilt kitty litter hits the water and becomes a yucky mess

I’ve owned a Rainbow for 15 years. My first Rainbow was wonderful and I traded it in 5 years ago for a new one. Now, 5 years later, I will never own another one. I just purchased a Panasonic and can’t believe I put up with the Rainbow all these years. Here’s why:

    1. It is soooo heavy, especially after you put the water in it.

    2. It doesn’t have a 360 degree hose maneuverability. It is very cumbersome and hard to move. You end up picking it up to move it because that’s easier than trying to pull it from room to room.

    3. It’s so expensive! You can buy a $200-$300 vacuum that does just as well. Especially since my Rainbow died before it hit its’ 5 year anniversary. And there are no service centers in my area.

    4. It doesn’t have an automatic cord rewind. Sounds trivial but it’s a real pain considering the price.

    5. It is so loud!! My dogs ran for the hills every time they saw me pull that thing out of the closet. My new Panasonic is probably 10 times quieter.

    6. It has attachments and gadgets that do not store easily. My new Panasonic stores the attachments inside the canister. Rainbow keeps three hand attachments on it, but the other attachments are separate.

    7. Did I mention how expensive it is? The Rainbow people want you to believe it’s suction is soooo much better than other vacuums, but in my experience that’s just not true.

    8. Because it uses water as the dirt trap, the vacuum hoses and attachments have moisture and they collect dirt as well. You end up having to scrape layers of dirt off the insides of all the hoses and attachments.

    9. Carrying the dirt filled water outside doesn’t sound like a big deal, but when it’s 10 degrees below zero, it is! Also, where is a good place to dump that stuff? When you have dogs, the water will have dog hair in it as well as human hair. It’s really disgusting all mixed in with floor dirt and water. I live in the country so I walk it out to the timber but if I lived in a subdivision, I’d have to dump it, wait for it to dry and rake it up and throw it away. More work than necessary!!!

    10. The biggest drawbacks to me are that it’s HEAVY, cumbersome, hard to manuever….and NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Happy shopping and I hope you find the perfect vacuum for you! I just don’t think you’ll be happy with this one.

  4. This system takes so much time and effort to set-up and then to clean once you are finished that you do not want to vacuum your house unless you are going to do the whole house. You have to fill with water, add sanitizer, and also a fragrance. After complete you have to empty the water container (very gross) and clean all dirt out and then remove a bolt and take the fan blade piece off and scrub with a tiny brush. Then leave everything out until it dries. It also says you can’t store the unit with the water container in it. I also noticed that dirt was getting into the motor after a only couple of uses, another thing to clean… I think I only people that recommend these units are the people selling them, pocketing mass amounts of cash. (see ebay if you really want one). Also their return policy gives you only 3 days… Their sales people must be the best in the business! They convinced my wife that she had to have one even though we didn’t have the money. Not worth the money! I am angry every time I see the pile of components that make up the system. Anybody else that I have spoke with also hates these vacuums… I would have stopped using the unit but my wife traded in our current vacuum and now we have no money to go buy a reasonable vacuum.

Owned an E2 Series for the past 6 yrs and personally never liked using it at all. Its heavy and besides the hose’s kinda short so you have to carry it most of the time to transfer to every spot. Of course, I need to fill the basin up with water and that adds up to the overall weight.

I have really deep regrets in buying it. Its expensive and I compared it with a Kirby and suction-wise, Kirby does a better job. Indeed I can trap all the dirt inside the basin but then the overall quality of sucking all the dirt from the carpet is “thumbs down”. We bought it at $1200 and I think I can get the same suction from a $200 vacuum cleaner. It looks impressive with a salesman but overall if someone would scrutinize it, its not worth paying >$1000. My mistake, I won’t let it to happen again.
